The Media Accreditation and Liaison Unit (MALU) provides the press with a number of services including accreditation, media resources, documents, calendar of upcoming events, etc.
The United Nations Information Centre in Nairobi manages press accreditation on behalf of all United Nations entities for media events, conferences and seminars held in Kenya and maintains a roster of accredited journalists.
Representatives of the media can also be accredited to the Vienna International Centre (VIC) in Austria and all UN conferences held there.
Spokesperson of the Secretary-General
The Office of the Spokesperson for the Secretary-General provides information to the media on the work of the UN system, and of the Secretary-General, through daily briefings, direct responses to media enquiries, press conferences, background briefings and interviews with the Secretary-General, Deputy Secretary-General and other senior officials.

The UN News Centre has daily print, photo, radio, television and webcast news coverage of the work of the United Nations, including meetings coverage at UN Headquarters.
UN Photo documents mandated activities throughout the UN system telling the story of the UN in its headquarters and the field. Historical coverage dates as far back to the inception of the organization. All images, both historical and newly captured, are available through the photo library as well as the UN Photo website. All images in the collection are available free for news outlets.
UNifeed is the United Nation's video news service providing a single point of distribution of material from across the entire UN platform. The service caters to professionals in the broadcast industry through Associated Press Television News and the UNifeed website. News Content is delivered free-of-charge for news purposes only, in high and standard definition.
